At the same time, I discuss the properties shared by -tto and -kke. These can be used as part of thedialogue (with listener), but also can be used in the monologue (without listener). I introduce the new concept \"the invisible listener\" in this study to solve the related phenomena. The invisible listener is relieved of the obligation to respond to the speaker. Thus, the speaker and the listener can maintain each other's \"face\".
