It is not unusual to see a bilingual child who now barely speaks Japanese was in fact highly fluent in it last month. Adults also forget a foreign language if they do not have opportunities to use it for a length of time. From the findings from adults' language processing, second language learning and child language acquisition studies, it has been suggested that of the different word types, the ones that have high concreteness are relatively easier to be learnt than the ones with lower concreteness. Can we say the same about word losses (attritions) in a simultaneous child bilingual?
