From this perspective, the transition from elementary to junior high school concerning English education is becoming increasingly important. In order to explore one aspect of this transition, the current\npaper examines six junior high school textbooks. Specifically, the paper analyzes the first chapter of each textbook, so-called Unit 0, which is designed to play a transitional role.
