The question here is, which format we should adopt and how we combine different devices. Based on the idea that sociolinguistic data is recylclable, this paper proposes three principles that should be followed in the fieldwork data digitization, and the optimal combination of digital devices corresponding to the three phases in sociolinguistic projects (interview, transcription/analysis and archiving).
